if you happen to have just the right sized hose and socket you can make your own spark plug socket. just use a little rtv silicon or epoxy to secure the hose into the socket, and presto you are in business. personally i hate sockets with the hose in them, but thats more of a long term thing.

The RJ19LM has a resistor, which is placed in the spark plug’s copper core. It functions as a suppressor of radio frequency interference, or RFI. The J19LM, on the other hand, lacks the resistor, thus making it much more susceptible to RFI.

There are currently three spark plug thread diameter and pitch sizes used on motorcycles and ATVs: 10 mm x 1.0, 12 mm x 1.25 and 14 mm x 1.25. There are currently two thread reaches (lengths) used: 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch. Never use a spark plug of the wrong reach.

There are four common socket sizes: 1/4 inch (0.6 centimeters), 3/8 inch (0.9 centimeters), 1/2 inch (1.3 centimeters) and 3/4 inch (1.9 centimeters). In-between sizes are available too, starting with 1/4 inch (0.6 centimeters) and increasing every sixteenth of an inch (0.16 centimeters).
