Art has always been associated with power. At times in history, the individuals who made art were seen as having special powers. They could conceptualize shapes and forms and then bring them into being. They could create images and objects from dirt, ashes, and stone that looked like living creatures.

Through its creative imagination and ingenious rebirth, art tells a story that has the power to alter and positively influence people’s perspectives and opinions while also instilling values that benefit all, no matter how our backgrounds or beliefs may differ.

Art is “the expression or application of human creative skill…”, or in other words, we use art to express ourselves in ways that words cannot. For example, music is able to convey feelings and moods that words alone could not accomplish on their own. Art, in all forms, is a way to communicate with others.

Cast. This shrimp earned its evocative name thanks to its gun-like claw, which snaps closed underwater with such power that it makes a “bubble bullet” so powerful that it stuns the shrimp’s prey and creates massive amounts of heat. As Art puts it in Project Power, “the shock waves rips the flesh right off the bone.

In a story about pill-activated superpowers inspired by myriad animal DNA, it’s the pistol shrimp–like power within Jamie Foxx’s character that [spoiler ahead] allows him to vaporize bullets and obliterate his enemies with one powerful pulse in the movie’s over-the-top finale.

The pill gives him bulletproof powers by hardening his body’s exterior, which comes in handy when Camouflage Man shoots him in the face.

Violent action scenes show people being killed, including by the main characters, in all manner of ways, using all kinds of weapons, often in gory detail. The rapper also makes her acting debut in the film starring Jamie Foxx. Chika has released “My Power,” an original song for the Netflix sci-fi action movie Project Power, which is out today. The film also features an appearance from the 23-year-old Alabama rapper, which marks Chika’s acting debut.

Project Power comes out this week and it is an action packed movie that is a whole ton of fun to watch. Is it perfect? No. It drags a bit in the middle and is pretty predictable if you are paying attention, but it is still filled with some crazy superhero powers — and I love me some superheroes.

Power looks genuine and the story is very appealing. The cast in the show are marvelous especially Omari Hardwick. Expect this actor in great roles in the future. I really hope this show makes 2-3 seasons because the quality of the first episode was too good.

A former soldier teams up with a cop to find the source behind a dangerous pill that provides temporary superpowers.

In just 10 days, Project Power has earned the maximum number of points possible in that span of time (you can read more about our Netflix point-tallying system here). And it’s been enough to propel the film all the way to the #4 position for the month—with its sights set on the #1 spot very soon.

That it’s an $85 million Netflix original that doesn’t quite have the courage of its convictions is an issue, but not a deal breaker. Oh, unlike last month’s big “more expensive than it looks” sci-fi actioner, Project Power does not spend its entire running time setting up a sequel.

“Like fetal alcohol syndrome,” as Robin (Dominique Fishback) puts it. She has powers without having to take a pill and is being used by Teleios as the source that allows the power pills to work.

Robin never pops a pill during the movie, thus leaving her innate superpower a mystery. After Robin improvises some rap for Art in the animal hospital, he calls that her power. Of course, he’s speaking metaphorically, but it’s the only hint toward what a pill might do to her.

Neistat acknowledges that he was “typecast” as a “total douchebag who rides a motorcycle,” and explains the production process for his extended scene, in which Foxx’s character interrupts a private meeting and wreaks havoc on entrepreneurs as an unfortunate woman named Candy (Jazzy De Lisser) who Neistat’s character is …

Early on, Newt (Machine Gun Kelly) has to use his powers of on-demand thermoregulation against Art (Jamie Foxx). In nature, thermoregulation is the involuntary mechanism that helps us keep our body temperatures regulated.
