There are two main types of shapes, geometric and organic. While most works of art contain both geometric and organic shapes, looking at those that are more completely divided can serve to clarify these qualities.

In the visual arts, shape is a flat, enclosed area of an artwork created through lines, textures, colours or an area enclosed by other shapes such as triangles, circles, and squares. Likewise, a form can refer to a three-dimensional composition or object within a three-dimensional composition.

The definition of form is the shape of a person, animal or thing or a piece of paperwork that needs to be filled out. An example of form is the circular shape of an apple. An example of form is a job application. Form is defined as to make or construct something.

How to draw in Word

1. In the ‘Insert tab,’ click the ‘Shapes’ button, and in the drop-down menu select ‘Scribble’
2. Click and hold down your mouse to draw the shape you want.
3. Release the mouse when you’ve finished drawing.
4. Go to the ‘Shape Format’ tab to edit your shape.

And that’s really all we’re going to do here, except we use a pencil and simplify a complex figure to just five basic geometric shapes – the triangle, oval, oblong, circle and square.

Simple shapes can often be classified into basic geometric objects such as a point, a line, a curve, a plane, a plane figure (e.g. square or circle), or a solid figure (e.g. cube or sphere).

The three basic shapes are a square, a triangle and a circle. All other shapes are derived from these. Organic shapes, for the most part, are circular in nature.
