The Ten Realms They are divided into the Six Realms (六道), followed by higher states of enlightened consciousness that lead to final Buddhahood. Rick Dalton is an actor who starred in the fictitious television western series Bounty Law, based on the real-life series Wanted Dead or Alive, starring Steve McQueen. Dalton’s relationship with Cliff Booth is based on Burt Reynolds’ with his longtime stunt double Hal Needham.

In its extreme auteurish extravagance, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is absolutely uncompromising. It is also a manifesto: baked into the movie is the line Tarantino has been trotting since its release – that he, like Scorsese, is a celluloid defender, a crusader against the dark forces of the franchise.

The central theme in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is Rick and Cliff’s dwindling careers. Throughout the film, Rick fantasizes about meeting Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate, in hopes that they would help him break into the film industry.

As Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood nears its conclusion, Quentin Tarantino uses the announcer to speak to his audience, promising them that at last, the bloodshed will begin. But Tarantino chose to rewrite history, having the Manson “family” fatefully mistake Dalton’s house for Tate’s, and never make it out again.

But most of the time it’s been there for a reason – Uma’s feet as The Bride in Kill Bill served to show her trying to get movement in them again; learning to walk. As she danced as Mia in Pulp Fiction, the shots of her feet served to give us the moves.
