Elephants may be the most protective moms on the planet. Herds of females and children usually travel together in a circle with the youngest member on the inside, protected from predators. If one child becomes an orphan, the rest of the herd will adopt him. Elephants also mourn their dead.

Forget-me-nots represent true love and giving someone this flower means you truly love and respect this person. It is a testament to your relationships and promises the other person that you will never forget them in your thoughts. Forget me nots are a symbol of fidelity and being truthful to someone you love.

Ornamental forget-me-nots (M. sylvatica) are indeed edible. However, another variety, called the Chinese forget-me-not (Cynoglossum amabile) and the broadleaf forget-me-not (Myosotis latifolia) are considered mildly toxic to grazing animals eating these types of forget-me-nots.

Forget-me-not will self-seed easily. Either allow them to spread naturally or lift new seedlings and replant where you choose.
