Flatbush Junction is a very safe neighborhood, however there are still pockets of Flatbush that are dangerous. North Bed Stuy is safe for the most part, as long as obvious trouble areas are avoided (as others here have said.) Lots of hipsters, out of towners, etc. are around. Lots of cops.
