Agnes Grinstead Anderson, wife of the artist Walter Anderson, was born in Gautier, Mississippi, formerly known as West Pascagoula, in 1909. She spent much of her childhood in the house where she was born, known as Oldfields Plantation. Her father was an attorney.

Today Walter Anderson is well known for his jewel-like watercolors, his prolific ink drawings, the flowing lines of his linoleum block prints, and his extraordinary murals. His art can be seen in collections all over the country and in Ocean Springs at the Museum which bears his name.

Upon returning to Ocean Springs, Anderson became very reclusive and spent much of his time on a deserted island off the coast known as Horn Island. On the island, he lived in primitive conditions—often using his overturned rowboat for shelter—and painted the natural life around him.

Anderson is the chief executive of Orbital Recovery, a company trying to extend the life of telecommunications satellites. He was arrested Saturday at Dulles Airport outside Washington as he stepped off a plane from London, according to Kenneth L. Wainstein, the United States attorney for the District of Columbia.

“White Castle did operate several locations in Miami, Florida, from 1959 to 1967 after the founder of the company retired to the area. However, the locations were closed because the returns could not justify operating locations so far from our support facilities,” according to a corporate telephone message.

SECRET INGREDIENT: If there is a secret ingredient to the White Castle Burger, it’s not peanut butter, baby food (yuk), or liver (double yuk); it’s in the onions. The onions have to be dried, and rehydrated before using. In the end I cooked the pickle along with the burger.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Look out Cinderella, there’s a new castle in Central Florida. The world’s largest White Castle has officially opened in Orlando. The massive 4,567-square-foot restaurant is located in The Village at O-Town West at the intersection of Palm Parkway and Daryl Carter Parkway off Interstate 4.

Since then, there’s been no White Castles in Florida. The Orlando Castle will rise in southwest Orlando at The Village at O-Town West, part of a $1 billion mixed-use development called O-Town West.
