Yet, the Luger has a reputation for toughness and accuracy that obviously served German soldiers well. Lugers from the early 20th century are particularly well-made, built to standards so exacting that many P08s that first saw service during World War I were completely usable during World War II and beyond.

The Luger pistol is still sought after by collectors both for its sleek design and accuracy, and for its connection to Imperial and Nazi Germany. It is one of the most collected pieces of militaria, with collectors purchasing them for prices ranging from $34,500, and $1,000,000.

The P38 was developed by Carl Walther in 1938. In 1940 the walther banner was replaced by a secret code to indicate the manufacturer. The Germans were afraid that markings like the Walther banner would make it quit easy for the allies to determine the weapon production sites and bomb them.

The Walther P38 (originally written Walther P.38) is a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol that was developed by Carl Walther GmbH as the service pistol of the Wehrmacht at the beginning of World War II. It was intended to replace the costly Luger P08, the production of which was scheduled to end in 1942.

Even though they weren’t tested in the Deadliest Warrior fight club, The Waffen SS and Viet Cong used rifles in the simulation, the SKS being used by the Viet Cong and the Karabiner 98K being used by the Nazi Waffen SS. The MP-40 was also commonly used by the Waffen SS.

In Germany, access to guns is controlled by the German Weapons Act (German: Waffengesetz) which adheres to the European Firearms Directive, first enacted in 1972, and superseded by the law of 2003, in force as of 2016.

In Germany it is illegal to possess or use any war weapons. These include all fully automatic or semi-automatic rifles, machine guns (unless antiques from World War II or earlier), or barrels or breeches for such weapons. Pump-action shotguns are also banned under the Weapons Act.

Europe has some of the toughest gun control laws in the world and they’re about to get even tighter. Europe already bans all automatic weapons, plus some semi-automatic guns widely available in the United States.

You always need the appropriate licence if you wish to bring firearms or ammunition into Germany from a non-EU country. Such a licence must have been issued by the competent German weapons authority prior to the transfer or carriage of the items into Germany.

The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution gives Americans the right to bear arms, and about a third of U.S. adults say they personally own a gun.

The Swedish police force is regularly armed, whereas Norwegian police are armed under special circumstances, and only by order of a police chief. Data were collected from reports of firearms use to national police authorities.

According to a survey conducted by the Nippon Research Center in October 2019, around 33 percent of people in Japan stated that they often read manga or watch anime. A slightly higher share of 41 percent of people said that they do not often engage in this pastime.
