Shadow of War is probably the most engaging game I’ve played since early last year. They’ve expanded the scope of the game so much, it’s hardly an “action adventure” in the style of Arkham anymore – it honestly feels more like a Total War game or Mount and Blade at times (especially in the late game).

I would definitely play through Mordor first just fit the experience. i personally really enjoyed the first game. Start with the first one for the story, I just rushed through it to get the most out of the narrative, but Shadow Of War is basically the same game but improved in every way.
