Afterward, Marcus reveals he was a virgin when they first had sex and wanted her to think he was cool. Marcus then delves into how dark it got after his friend died, and he really scared himself. He then brings up how he saw Ginny with the lighter about to self-harm.

In response, Ginny has decided to take off with her little brother, lest they be involved in any more of Georgia’s criminal activity. But it’s not so much just what Georgia did by killing her husband Kenny (Darryl Scheelar) and hiding the evidence that Ginny’s upset about.

(Still very salty.) Thankfully, our worries dissipated when a second season was officially announced. Though it is extremely fantastic news that the original series was eventually renewed for a second season, it looks like we can’t rejoice too much as Ginny and Georgia will not be returning to our screens in July 2021.

On Monday, April 19, 2021, Netflix officially renewed Ginny and Georgia for a second season composed of 10 hour-long episodes. “We are so appreciative of the incredible response and love you all have shown Ginny and Georgia,” showrunner Debra J. Fisher and creator Sarah Lampert said in a statement.

The creator of Ginny & Georgia shared that she wanted to create a show about women. There series isn’t based on a true story but it does feel very real. Antonia Gentry, who plays Ginny, told Teen Vogue that she and Sarah Lampert talked about the character a lot and this informed the show.

The teen drama has firmly cemented its place on Netflix with buzz around new series aimed at the 13-18 year old demographic coming mostly from the streamer’s original content.

Was it possible that Georgia killed him? Oh yes! Georgia did kill Kenny, not that I blame her. Georgia found out Kenny had groped Ginny and Mama Bear stepped in.

Having learned from a snooping private investigator that Georgia is a murderer, Ginny takes her little brother, Austin (Diesel La Torraca), and steals Marcus’ motorcycle, riding off into the night and away from her mom. It’s a dramatic conclusion for a very dramatic show.

In the case of her most recent husband, Kenny (Darryl Scheelar), though, we kind of empathize with her actions. Sort of. I mean, she could have just divorced him for groping her teen daughter. After seeing Kenny get a little too friendly with Ginny, Georgia poisons him with wolfsbane in his smoothie.
