Since it isn’t a sequel series, you technically don’t need to watch the 2003-2004 original to start Brotherhood. They are completely different series. However, it’s worth watching the original series before jumping to Brotherhood to fully immerse oneself in the characters and the story.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, or FMAB, is the second adaptation of the original FMA anime series but is more faithful to the original manga. It is believed to be closer to the manga and follows the original events of the manga apparently. Brotherhood is longer than the original FMA with 64 episodes.

It’s definitely not appropriate for kids because it’s very gory not to mean the use of foul language and depression of the series.

Fullmetal Alchemist is likely okay for most middle schools, depending on their tolerance for some serious topics and violence. Given the story’s premise (murder and violence are frequently, if mostly bloodlessly, depicted) each school will do best to decide for themselves.

There’s plenty of Fullmetal Alchemist titles missing from Netflix too including the 2005 Conqueror of Shamballa and the 2009 movie Brotherhood. …

Fullmetal Alchemist might have ended its latest anime series, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, years ago but the world of the Elric brothers is set to return via a light novel that is set to release later this year thanks to Viz Media, as the company announced earlier.

Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) has 33 confirmed filler episodes while there are only 2 fillers out of 64 episodes in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (2009). Since FMA stopped following the manga, there are tons of fillers that form a different story.

Fullmetal Alchemist is definitely worth watching. The series is home to an outstanding set of characters and a great story. No matter what genre you’re usually into, you will want to watch this one. The characters ooze charisma and take you on their emotional journeys.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a great anime for teens and adults alike. but you may want watch it before you let your kids under 13 watch it. Do not let the TV-PG rating fool you most of the episodes are rated TV-14.

You can always watch its live-action movie adaptation that came out on December 1, 2017, but just make sure that you don’t expect too much from it. At this point ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ season 2 release date of 2021 or 2022 seems like a distant dream. We will update this section as soon as we learn more.
