Singscope is a tool for checking the pitch of your singing. It analyzes the singing voice and shows the pitch in the music scale (C, D, E, F, G, A, B) as function of time. You can visualize your pitch and singing features, such as vibrato, in the scope.

Examples of Melody in Music Musical melodies exist in two forms: as sung vocal lines and as instrumental passages. Here are examples of how this might show up in real musical compositions: Lead vocal lines. It could also be a heavy metal vocalist singing a thrash song.

Melody is a linear sequence of notes the listener hears as a single entity. The melody of a song is the foreground to the backing elements and is a combination of pitch and rhythm. Sequences of notes that comprise melody are musically satisfying and are often the most memorable part of a song.

How to Find Your Voice Type

1. Warm up. Before doing any type of singing, it’s vitally important to do a vocal warm up, particularly when singing near the edges of our vocal range.
2. Find your lowest note. Using a piano, find Middle C (also known as C4) and sing along as you play the note.
3. Find your highest note.
4. Compare your lowest and highest note.

There’s a simple trick you can use to determine your vocal range. First, just speak a sentence: Say “I am learning to sing in tune”. Listen as you speak, and when you say the last word “tune”, hold on it: “tuuuuuuuuuunne”. That “ooooh” sound is a note, and you are singing it.

To figure out what key you’re singing in, use a reference instrument like a piano/keyboard to find out what pitches you are singing. Use the pitch set to derive the key. If you are confident in what your tonic pitch is, simply identify that pitch.
