There is no actual Luke’s Diner, and there’s also no Stars Hollow. What there is, however, is a legion of Gilmore Girls fans on the internet, and they love to go to the places that inspired the show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, and write lists detailing landmarks and travel diaries about going to those places.

1. Sherilyn Fenn As Sasha & Anna. Fenn, who’s also famous for playing seductive teen Audrey Horne on Twin Peaks, played both Anna Nardini (Luke’s baby mama) and Sasha (Jimmy’s girlfriend).

Willams Hardware is actually a real store there (or, it was at the time of filming the pilot), so they decided to turn it into Luke’s Diner for the episode. While they eventually moved to a different set on the WB lot once the series was picked up full-time, Williams Hardware remained the location of Luke’s Diner.

The two married and Liz gave birth to a son, Jess Mariano.

If you’re a fan of the television show, Gilmore Girls, you know that Rory and Lorelai Gilmore made their home in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Although the charmingly quaint New England town is not on the Connecticut state map, its inspiration can be found throughout the Litchfield Hills region.
