just to clarify, TBI is EFI. efi stands for electronic fuel injection, which TBI most definantly is. most TBI trucks even had an EFI badge on the tailgate…. basically the difference between TBI and other injection methods comes down to placement and number/size of the injectors, as well as firing method/timing.

The 350 TBIs only flow like 475 cfm, but can be bored to flow ~650 cfm. The bored TBI with the bigger injectors (96 lbs), the right chip, and a bumped up fuel pump (20 psi), should be able to support 345 hp (according to John’s calculations).

the TPI is as efficient as you can make the intake manifold, as the runner length is more crucial to torque and hp development than a TBI. Since the injectors are pointed at the back of the valves, the TPI is more efficient in dispensing fuel, and in so, gets better mileage, and makes more power.
