On average, Russians named 66,000 rubles ($1,000) as a decent monthly salary, according to the government’s Financial University survey cited by the outlet. The figures ranged from 50,000 rubles in Siberia to 100,000 rubles in Moscow.

Moscow is home to more billionaires per capita than any other city.

Over 88 million Russians aged 20 years and above, or approximately 79 percent of the total adult population of the country, had wealth under 10 thousand U.S. dollars in 2019. To compare, on average around the globe, the share of residents belonging to this wealth range was measured at under 57 percent.
