(WIFR) – In a study published by the SafeWise, most spots in the Stateline do not crack the top 50 safest cities in Illinois. However, Roscoe is the only spot to do just that, coming in ranked #38 out of the top 50.

In a study released this week, RENTCafe listed Aurora’s 60503 ZIP Code as a top area in Illinois that has seen a recent spike in millennials, only being outranked by Chicago’s 60654 and 60611 zip codes. With the exception of Aurora’s number 3 spot, all other areas in the top ten are in Chicago.

A report has ranked the “safest cities in Illinois for 2021,” with a number of Chicago-area suburbs making the list. According to the ranking from Safewise, a company that rates home security systems, the safest city in the state is Campton Hills, a village west of Chicago located in Kane County.

Rockton Avenue and the State Street area had an estimated violent crime rate of 76.7 per 1,000 residents. The area that includes parts of Kishwaukee, State and Seventh streets had 89.7 violent crimes per 1,000 residents, according to the website.
