Pocahontas might be a household name, but the true story of her short but powerful life has been buried in myths that have persisted since the 17th century. Born about 1596, her real name was Amonute, and she also had the more private name Matoaka.

Pocahontas became known by the colonists as an important Powhatan emissary. She occasionally brought the hungry settlers food and helped successfully negotiate the release of Powhatan prisoners in 1608.

She did encounter John Smith during her stay, but was angry with him for betraying the kin relationship that her father had established with him. During the “What A Day In London” sequence, a character appears who is evidently intended to be William Shakespeare.

Mulan

Elysium is the first daughter of Elsa and Jack Frost, protagonists in Frozen and Rise of the Guardians. She is also a Princess of Arendelle and Junior Guardian of Winter.

Tarzan is NOT Anna and Elsa’s brother. Now five days into its theatrical run, Frozen 2 has given us a lot of questions at Arendelle’s beloved Royal Family.

Elsa is a short form for the Biblical name Elisabeth and for some of its variants: Elisabet, Elisabetta, Elizabeth. Like other pet names of Elisabeth, Elsa became a name on its own. Elsa Einstein, the wife of Albert Einstein was born around this time.

As per the Frozen Wiki, Elsa’s official height is 5’7″. Based on the movies, where Olaf is roughly half of Elsa’s height, that would place the snowman right around 2’8″ – which is much closer to his appearance in the Frozen films. Using the same math that determined Elsa was eleven feet tall, it would make Olaf 2’6″.
