All applicants of Pakistani origin who hold dual British-Pakistan nationality must apply for an Indian visa on their Pakistan passport. The processing time for visa applications received from persons of Pakistani origin is 7-8 weeks or more.

National Medical & Dental College Admission Test (NMDCAT) (or National MDCAT) is a pen and paper based test conducted in Pakistan each year for admissions in MBBS and BDS degree programs. In 2020, the test replaced the provincial medical entrance exams conducted in the past.

After successfully completing five years of theoretical and practical (clinical) training in the medical college and affiliated teaching hospitals the graduates are awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.

MBBS & BDS: Must have secured 65% marks or more in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) / HSSC/ A Level / 12th Grade examination or equivalent as per equivalence certificate issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) and must have passed at least three (03) compulsory subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry and Physics OR Mathematics.

Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in pre-medical group with a minimum aggregate of 70%. Candidates either applying from Pakistan or overseas must have satisfactorily completed Ordinary Level (O-Level) with at least six subjects including English, biology, chemistry and physics.

The University of Health Sciences, Lahore (UHS Lahore) (Urdu: جامعہ طبی لاہور‎) is a graduate, affiliating public university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

The degree awarded is “Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery”. The minimum requirements for the MBBS course are 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English in the ’10+2′ examinations. For reserved category students the requirement is 40%. MBBS admissions are not centralised.

Students from non-biology stream can also study MBBS. Two students named Neha Chaudhary and Suraj Bansal, who cleared the NEET entrance examination, were denied admission by the college on the basis that they had not studied biology at higher secondary level as per Undergraduate Medical Education Regulation 1997.
