In “Tiegs for Two”, it’s revealed that Quagmire is half-Polish and his original name was Glenn Quagglechek. He was also obese as a child.

The name Quagmire was chosen by a college acquaintance of MacFarlane’s. MacFarlane came up with Quagmire’s voice after listening to fast-talking radio jockeys from the 1950s era, describing the character as a “50s radio guy on coke.” The “giggity” phrase was inspired by Steve Marmel’s Jerry Lewis impression.

Perhaps everyone hates Meg is because Mila Kunis’s acting career took off just as the show was gaining in popularity. In order to satisfy her contract with Family Guy, keep the show running, and pursue her own acting career, Seth McFarlane and other writers decided that the family will hate Meg.

While the car driver is still unknown, he/she played a major role in the episode “Life of Brian” by either intentionally or unintentionally killing Brian in the process of running him over with the car, continuing to drive after having done so.

What was not addressed in the episode is what will become of replacement dog, Vinny, especially as actor Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts in The Sopranos) is signed on for six episodes and has only appeared in three.
