In the comics, Danny’s parents remain dead, but the circumstances of their passing are a little bit different. Danny’s father Wendell actually had a history with the Iron Fist long before Danny took on the title.

Danny Gives Up The Fist By Iron Fist episode 6, Danny Rand is stripped of the “Heart of the Dragon” (the spirit that powers his glowing fist). He can do more with his wealth and influence, so he tells Colleen she should take the “Heart of the Dragon” from Davos and become the Iron Fist herself.

Joy is a fighter, and two of Marvel TV’s best villains, Mariah Dillard and Cottonmouth of Luke Cage fame, arose to their stations as A-level baddies after dealing with endless family trauma and unbelievable loss of innocence. Iron Fist later loses his powers to Junzo Muto, the young leader of the Hand, and subsequently becomes the guardian of a pack of displaced dragons in Tokyo. His powers are eventually restored by Chiantang, who brainwashes Iron Fist and forces him to battle Black Panther.

The Colors of Iron Fist Danny’s fists glow yellow when he taps into his power, while Davos’ glows red and Colleen’s glows white. As for white, that color implies purity and a deeper connection to the mystical power of Shou-Lao.

Bakuto walked passed the Iron Fist and stabbed him with a pen, which dislodged into his body and blocked his chi flow. Wing witnessed the stabbing and fell back. Davos broke Darryl’s leg, and with Rand worrisome, pulled him away.

While Harold Meachum was revealed to be the Big Bad overall on Iron Fist, Bakuto is still a bad dude — I think. It’s difficult to say. He shoots Joy, but helps to keep her alive. His recruitment and training does provide opportunities for his community, but that community does attempt to murder Colleen.

Is Madame Gao Dead? Gao was with Daredevil and Elektra in the caves below Midland Circle when it collapsed in The Defenders. She was the last member of The Hand standing after the fight and explosion, and we never saw her die.
