Still without a heartbeat, Clara realizes she’s technically immortal because her death has already been written, and the duo resolve to go off adventuring on their own before Clara has to return to the Time Lords and face her own time stream as intended.

Speculation that Captain Jack Harkness might be the Face of Boe occurred after he revealed that he was the only person from the Boeshane Peninsula, to become a Time Agent, earning him the nickname of ‘The Face of Boe’.

Clara was forced to face the Raven, killed by the touch of a Quantum Shade. However, death would not be the end for the impossible girl, and using Time Lord technology, the Doctor was able to extract Clara a second before her death, between one heartbeat and the next.

It appears that Orson Pink may not be a direct descendant of Clara’s offspring, but rather a descendant of the offspring from another branch of the Pink family.

In the end, she betrayed and killed her past self in order to finally stand by the Doctor, but was killed herself in retaliation before she could reach him, with both believing that this had been their “perfect ending”. However, Missy managed to regenerate into a benevolent incarnation who called herself “the Lumiat”.
