Our parent company, Hanesbrands, has an established industry-leading ethical sourcing program which has been in place for more than 20 years. Champion, along with other brands in the Hanes family, achieved a grade A rating in the 2019 Ethical Fashion Report.

In 2020 Adidas received Ethical Consumer’s best rating for Environmental Reporting because it had quantified future environmental targets, an environmental report dated within two years that was independently verified, and showed a reasonable understanding of its main environmental impacts.

Our supplier code of conduct is aligned with the International Labor Organization (ILO) standards as well as the Ethical Trade Initiative. Since we’re still a relatively small company, we know our suppliers personally and over the years we’ve built strong partnerships.

Since 2018, the company has been using sustainable cotton exclusively. “Sustainability is an integral part of the Adidas business philosophy. We have continued to invest in sustainability initiatives during the coronavirus pandemic and we will significantly expand our range of sustainable products in 2021.

Around the world 775,000 workers, mainly women, in 1,200 factories across 65 countries make Adidas products.
