At 60 3/4 inches wide, this axle is almost the same width as a TJ (61 1/2 inches, wheel-mounting surface to wheel-mounting surface). They are commonly found with Trac-Lok limited slips and either 4.30 or 4.56 gears.

TJ Wranglers will have either a Dana 30 in the front and a Dana 35 in the rear unless you have a Rubicon model. In which case you’ll have 44s front and back. Some TJs with a Dana 30 in the front can have a 44 in the rear as it was an option from the factory.

The JK-to-TJ Axle Conversion Kit can also be used to fit the JK Dana 30 under a TJ. The conversion is identical.

This assembled axle is the stock JK width (65.5 inches), comes with a 35-spline ARB Air Locker and 5.38:1 gears.

A full size axle is about 70″ wide.

The 84.74-inch-wide axle (an F-350 front axle is 69.8 inches wide) was designed for the ’05-and newer F-450 and F-550 Super Dutys, where it’s rated to support 7,000 pounds of gross axle weight (GAWR) and cope with more than 600 lb-ft of engine torque.

Ford uses Dana Super 60 Front Driving Axles in 2005 and newer F250, F350, F450, and F550 Super Duty 4×4 trucks. Each axle is built with a Bill of Material (BOM) Tag affixed to the differential cover by two cover bolts.

This Dana 44 uses 11″ drum brakes and the most common ratio is 3.73. The axles will interchange between the models and use a 5 on vehicles during that time period. Dana 44 axle tube diameter ranges from 2.5″ to 3″, while the Dana 60 axle tube diameter is 3.125″.
