The actress was 27 years old when she was cast to play Rory’s best friend and confidant, 15-year-old Lane Kim. She remained a staple cast member throughout all seven seasons. Before Gilmore Girls, Keiko had minor roles on shows like Felicity and Beverly Hills, 90210.

Aside from the real couples, the fake couple, Lane and Young Chui managed to hold up nicely, that is until Young Chui fell in love with Lane.

This should’ve been Lane’s big break – her chance to finally become the rock star she always dreamed of being. Instead, she ends up married to fellow bandmate and ultimate man-child Zack and pregnant with twins after her first time (which she describes as “horrible”).

In Season 7, Lane becomes pregnant with twins. At the end of “Gilmore Girls Only” (Season 7, Episode 17), Lane gives birth to twin boys, Kwan and Steve.

The final four words are: “Mom?” “Yeah?” “I’m pregnant.” Throughout the series, Lorelai’s and Rory’s lives are drawn in comparison to one another, as the mother-daughter duo have supported each other through stolen yachts, broken engagements and a 24-hour dance marathon.

Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) revealed in the 2016 revival of the series, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, that she was pregnant, but she did not share the identity of the baby’s father. Ultimately this is Amy and Dan’s show and it’s Lauren [Graham’s] show and it’s Alexis’ show. It’s not mine.

Even in the Netflix revival, A Year in The Life, Rory and Logan have rekindled their relationship as 30-something adults. Though things have become infinitely more complicated due to Logan’s engagement, their love for each other remains strong and true, and these moments during the show’s original love indicate why.

Rory and Logan did not end up together at the end of Gilmore Girls Season 7. The couple broke up after Rory turned down Logan’s proposal. Logan and Rory continued their affair throughout Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. But by the final episode, the couple decided to break things off for good.
