You also don’t need to bring anything to prove that you’re already legally married. After your wedding, it takes about 3 weeks for the license to be processed plus the time it takes for the certified copy to be mailed to you.

• Shipwreck Beach. Located on the south end of Kauai, Shipwreck Beach is a local favorite for bodysurfing and surfing.

All Beach Use Permits must be applied for and obtained, for a specific date and time and the event must not exceed 2 hours per Permit. Kauai Island Weddings will apply and obtain this Beach Use Permit on behalf of your group.

The application may be completed online or printed form. The application will not be accepted if sent by either postal mail or e-mail. Upon approval, a marriage license is issued at the time the application is made. The marriage license is good only in, but is valid throughout, the State of Hawaii.
