Effective April 1, 2021

1. Estimate your total gross annual payroll (12 months).
2. Divide total annual payroll by 100 (Payroll Amount).
3. Multiply payroll amount x class rate.

5. Add totals for lines 3 and 4 (This is your annual estimated premium).

The maximum weekly compensation rate for calendar year 2019 in Pennsylvania is $1,049.00. The weekly compensation rate is to be 66 2/3 percent of the employee’s average weekly wage falls between $1,573.50 and $786.76.

Most often, benefits are calculated and paid based on the average weekly wage. This is calculated by multiplying the employee’s daily wage by the number of days worked in a full year. That number is then divided by 52 weeks to get the average weekly wage.

If you wish to cancel your policy, you must submit your request in writing, with the requested cancellation date and reason. If State Fund does not receive a written request, the policy will cancel for non-reporting of payroll or for non-payment.

Once you have the estimated annual payroll for the employee, divide that number by 100. You then multiply that number by the premium rate for the class code to find the total cost of workers’ compensation insurance for that employee.

SWIF

Dismissing or terminating an employee on workers compensation in NSW may be a breach of law. Most of the legislation throughout Australia prohibits an employer from dismissing an employee who is absent on workers’ compensation until after a specified time period has passed.

Insureon customers pay a median premium of $47 per month, or $560 annually, for workers’ comp coverage. Insureon typically lists median (midpoint) costs, as averages include extremes like high-risk construction businesses that pay much more in workers’ compensation premium.

SWIF assigns the appropriate classification code (s) and multiplies the rate by every $100 of payroll to produce the base premium. The base premium is then multiplied by any applicable Experience Modification or Premium Discount. The total is the Estimated Annual Premium.

A set of Collection letters will go out allowing you 30 days to make your payment to SWIF. If at that point no payment or communication is made on your account, the account will then be sent to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General (AG).
