A comprehensive list of 8044 candidates shortlisted for PGP, PGP‐ABM and PGP‐SM has been placed on IIM Lucknow website.

There are almost 2 Lakh candidates take the exam every year and more than 5000 seats are offered by the 20 IIMs currently functioning in India. IIM Indore, which was the conducting body of CAT 2020 released CAT Result on 2nd January 2021.

Presently approx. 5100+ seats are offered by IIMs. However, the programs, fees, learning experience and quality varies from one IIM to another. Out of 20 IIMs, presently 8 IIMs runs from temporary (or shared infrastructure) campus.

IIMs call around 6,000 candidates.

PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) is a diploma degree issued by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) recognized institutions in a 2-years full-time program. The biggest difference is that PGDM enables you to pursue higher education like Ph. D but a PGPM program doesn’t facilitate you the same.

Having a prior work experience is not a compulsory requirement for candidates appearing in CAT. The application form does ask for work experience details but it is not mandatory. However, during the final selection of candidates, work experience is given some weightage by the IIMs.
