Stages. The game comprises six stages, each with an end-of-level boss, who must be defeated before progressing to the next stage.

These can be used on a Super Nintendo (SNES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes….Side-View Levels.

Each version of the game has unique codes and passwords. The Konami Code does not work in any version of this game.

Contra 3: The Alien Wars is one of those maddeningly difficult retro games that will destroy you over and over if you’re not prepared. When compared to its NES and arcade predecessors, Contra III has the same gameplay where you run and gun your way through an alien army on your way to the aliens’ lair.

The Rapid Fire (R) power-up, also known as Rapid Bullets, is a special upgrade that increases the rate of fire possible for the current weapon. In Super Contra, the Rapid Fire upgrade also enables projectiles to reach a farther distance in overhead stages, and in the case of the Spread Gun it adds extra projectiles.

The code is burned into the memories of many kids that grew up playing video games in the 1980s and ’90s. It’s used in more than 100 games, such as Castlevania and Mortal Kombat III. The code famously gave players 30 lives in the game Contra, which was released in 1988.
