Q. Why is Lyla and Nixie not in season 2 of Mako Mermaids?
She and Nixie are with the pod in season 2. Ivy Latimer as Nixie (series 1), one of the three mermaids. She is an adventurous girl, who often gets into trouble and only does what she believes is right. In series 2, it is explained that she and Lyla have left to search for a new home for the mermaid pod.

Q. Why did H2O get Cancelled?
Now, in February 2020, the final season has now been removed. Why has H20: Just Add Water left Netflix? Simply put, the licensing for the series came up for renewal and either ZDF Enterprises or Netflix decided to not renew.

“I Don’t Believe in Mermaids” 2. Evie tells Zac that Lyla “has a little crush on him” and Zac say that he would know and unnoticed Lyla looks at him. 3. Lyla comes to visit Zac and at first lingers in the doorway and watches him for a second.

Cam attempted to take over Mako and become a merman. But was stopped by Zac, Lyla, Sirena and Nixie. When Cam absorbed Moon Water, he developed merperson powers that began gradually loses its control. Fortunately, Mimmi and Sirena removed the water from him.

There is no news yet as to whether or not Mako Mermaids will be renewed for a fifth season. In fact, ‘fifth season’ is a bit of a misnomer — the show technically only has three seasons, but Netflix split season 2 into two parts, so the numbers read differently on Netflix compared to other places.

Mako Island is a fictional island in the two popular television series’ H2O: Just Add Water and Mako Mermaids. It’s located approximately 50 km off the Gold Coast. Mako Island was formed by a comet that crashed into the Earth. One of the shards impacted near Ireland (Eire) forming the Sea Caves of Ireland.

Season 2. The second season of Mako Mermaids consists of twenty-six episodes, the first 13 episodes were released on Netflix on February 13th 2015, with the second half of the season releasing on May 29th, 2015.

Mako Mermaids made its debut in the US, Canada, UK and Ireland on July 26, 2013 on Netflix. Australian television station TV Ten also debuted Mako: Island of Secrets on the same date.

Real-life mermaids, Sirena, Nixie and Lyla are part of a mermaid pod, which lives in the waters of Mako Island. As young members of the pod, it is their job to protect the Moon Pool and guard it from trespassers.
