Plot. While not traditionally considered an explicit part of the trilogy, Dragon Quest XI serves as a prequel to it. Dragon Quest III is chronologically the first game in the trilogy.

When you travel back in time, you’ll retain everything in your inventory. You’ll lost the Sword of Time. You’ll keep your level, but all other characters in your party will revert to the level / equipment they were carrying right before you enter the First Forest.

Dragon Quest is a series that almost always forces you to say yes. If you say no the game is like “no but you gotta say yes though.” And then asks you again.

You can’t beat him right now, your goal is just to survive.

To begin with, he will summon Staves to attack you, ignore these unless you’re using abilities that hit all enemies, Mordegon only has 2500 HP. He’ll use spells such as Kazam and Zammle to deal heavy dark damage along with regular attacks.

Battle

Sylvando trained with Eight, so he’s in his late 30s. Eight is also in his late 30s. Erik is probably around 18 or 19.

Previously in Dragon Quest XI, it was only possible to marry your childhood friend. This also means it is possible for Hero to marry Erik or Sylvando, but please keep in mind they will “live romantically” with each other. There are a total of 9 characters you can choose to marry in the game.

Sylvando is the only real competition here and he is easy enough to beat, so long as you ride properly.

Sylvando is not a weapon user. Sylvando is, in my opinion, the king of the main game, being able to do a lot of things very well. He gets Oomph, a group heal, fantastic AoE’s for random encounters, a strong single target attack (That’s Amore), and a really good selection of equipment.

Daggers

Deftness: This is basically your luck stat. It determines how often you strike first in battle, land critical hits, steal from enemies and successfully flee from battle. But it’s still worth upping this skill to improve your evasion and to preempt enemies.

Sylvando (born Norberto, shortened to Sylv) is a character from Dragon Quest XI. A flamboyant travelling performer, he puts his talents to use in combat with a variety of different techniques and is capable of equipping whips, knives, and one-handed swords.

Dual-Wielding Allows Sylvando to equip two of the same type of one-handed Weapon (Knives or Swords).

When he finds Veronica, she’s slumped, unresponsive, in a grove where she and her twin sister, Serena, used to play. It becomes clear she sacrificed herself to save everyone during Mordegon’s assault on Yggdrasil.

Jade is a character in Dragon Quest XI. She is a martial artist who fights with fisticuffs, claws and spears, while also being highly geared towards charming the enemy with her sex appeal.

Jade was close to the hero’s parents and that kinda made her feel like an older sister to the hero. She’s not a step-sister (that would mean the King of Heliodor was the step-father). She’s not an adoptive sister (that would mean the Luminaries parents adopted her).

Claws do have a higher critical rate and also enables Jade to heal herself while attacking and a even a move to restore some MP, and they do offer two attacks with a normal attack. Spears might be better for consistent higher raw damage though.

Finally, there is the marriage option. In the original Dragon Quest XI, people could eventually marry Gemma as part of the end-game activities. As people go through Dragon Quest XI S, they may find themselves loving certain party members. This definitive edition of the game only encourages that affair.

Nope you can’t marry Jade in the playstation 4 version.

After the Fall, Gemma is found to be alive and well, thanks in part to Hendrik and his humane treatment of the prisoners taken in the raid.

On New Year’s Day in 2020, Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii confirmed that Dragon Quest 12 was in development, and that it had started in 2019.
