BASIS OF MARKS 1.2 The performance of a candidate in each semester shall be evaluated subject-wise, with a maximum of 100 marks for Theory and 50 marks for Practical subjects and 30 for the term work and 20 in mid sem.

How to Calculate SGPA?

1. Write down all your credit points for each subject.
2. Next, multiply the credit point of each subject with the grade that you achieved in that subject.
3. Add all the scores that come.
4. Next, divide the total score that you got with the sum of all the credit points.
5. The number that you get is the SGPA.

How is CGPA Calculated in India?

1. First you need to calculate the total percentage, i.e. 300/600*100 = 50%
2. Then, to calculate CGPA from percentage, you need to divide your percentage by 9.5, i.e. 50/9.5= 5.26 CGPA approx.

For example, you received 7 CGPA in 12th, then your total percentage of marks would be, 7×9.5= 66.5%. Moreover, if you want to calculate total marks from here, then you can simply multiply your percentage divided by 100 to total marks (total of all subjects).

To convert Percentage to CGPA, you just need to divide the percentage by 9.5 and the outcome will be your CGPA.

In order to calculate your CGPA, you need to first find the average score of all subjects in each of the semesters, i.e. SGPA. Then, add all the SGPAs of all the semesters and divide the total by the number of semesters or sessions to find your CGPA for the academic year.

3. Total the quality points for the term.
4. Divide the total quality points by the total credit hours.
5. The result is the G.P.A. for the term.
