The East Campus running/walking trail, the Al Buehler Trail, and trails in the Duke Forest are currently open to visitors but may be closed on short notice depending on local conditions and regulations.

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. The campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 hectares) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham, and a marine lab in Beaufort.

Very nice campus! This is one of those college campuses that is worth visiting. Drive around, but get out of the car at least once in an area with more traditional architecture.

You can drive around campus, but you will not see the best Duke has to offer. Take a quick drive, see what you like, and then park at the indoor garage or the few street level spots and walk the campus. Take an extra half an hour and walk through the Sarah Duke Gardens it is worth it!

Another flexible space adjacent to Cameron Indoor Stadium that allows for indoor and outdoor functions, Scharf Hall is located in the K Center above the Duke basketball museum.

If you’re looking at acceptance rate alone, then Duke University is more difficult to get into. However, each college is looking to fill its incoming class with a variety of students with different strengths, backgrounds, etc. On the flipside, Vanderbilt University is easier to get into based on acceptance rate alone.

Depression and anxiety, notably psychological effects of extreme stress, have been on the rise among college students for years and Duke is no exception. But a recent survey found that Duke students’ stress levels are higher than the national average.

Duke students are generally a happy bunch that are very welcoming to all types of people – with a strong sense of community and great weather which fosters fun activities outside and just hanging out on the quad and having conversations.

It is harder to admit to Duke University than UNC. Duke University has higher submitted ACT score (31) than UNC (31). UNC has more students with 30,092 students while Duke University has 16,172 students. Duke University has more full-time faculties with 4,074 faculties while UNC has 1,910 full-time faculties.
