3. Scroll and go to the “Prime Video Channels” of Amazon.

If you’re looking for a good streaming service to split between several members of your family, then Britbox is not a bad choice for this. You can use your account with 5 different devices, so different members of your family can easily log into your account.

You can subscribe through its website, or through Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV. Unfortunately, your regular Prime or Apple TV subscription won’t cover BritBox — it’s an add-on streaming service like Starz or HBO, and you still have to pay the same amount.

So although some of these are BBC programmes, they don’t have the same status as programmes on iPlayer, as BritBox is a subscription service – so it would be like watching BBC programmes on a DVD, for example. Therefore, you don’t need a TV licence for BritBox.
