Follow these steps to work with the Color Range command:

Magic wand

Color Range is a selection tool that allows you to select parts of an image based on its color. This makes it easy to select one a specific color and then change its hue, saturation and/or brightness.

1. Choose Select→Color Range.
2. Choose Sampled Colors from the Select drop-down menu (pop-up menu on the Mac) and then select the Eyedropper tool in the dialog box.
3. Select a display option — Selection or Image.

Color Picker Tool

The tool that’s initially displayed in each spot in the toolbar is known as the default tool. For example, the Rectangular Marquee Tool is the default tool for the second spot from the top.

Start by inspecting simple element anywhere from the page that could show the color picker box. 2.2. Then after clicking the above color picker box, goto the image or background image you want to pick color from(when you do this you will notice the cursor changing from pointer to chrome-color-picker icon).

Reading and Determining the Resistor Value Hold the resistor with the gold or silver band to the right and read the color codes from the left to the right. Select the color codes from the bands on the resistor. Read the colors from left to right. The resistance value based on the color code provided is now displayed.
