1. Sit in car with everything off and buckle seatbelt.

1. Get in vehicle and put seat belt on.
2. Turn vehicle on. (Does not need to be started. Just press the start button twice without pressing the brake.)
3. Once the Jeep is on, the diagnostic screen will briefly show the seatbelt warning indicator. As soon as the indicator goes away.
4. Turn off Jeep.

For the record, there is a simple procedure to disable the belt chime. Just Google it. It requires ignition on, engine off, wait for seatbelt indicator light to turn off, then buckle/unbuckle 3 times, shut ignition off.

Turn the ignition key to the ACC/ON position (do not start the engine), and wait for the Seat Belt Reminder Light to turn off. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver’s seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.
