To transfer a playlist or single song from your iTunes library to your iPhone, drag and drop the item from the right pane into the left pane, directly onto the item that is your phone (under the Devices section). It might be called iPhone or maybe just iPhone.

There isn’t an iTunes app for Android, but Apple does offer an Apple Music app on Android devices. You can sync your iTunes music collection to Android using the Apple Music app. Once your iTunes library is fully synced to iCloud, open the Apple Music app on Android and tap the “Library” tab at the bottom.

Connect your phone to iTunes and do the following:

1. On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings check “Sync only checked songs and videos”
2. In your music library check all the songs you want to sync to your phone.
3. Make sure there are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone.

While transferring music from computer to iPhone using iTunes if you face cannot transfer music from iTunes to iPhone, the possible reason can be that when you sync music there may be you have not checked “Music” option there. So go in the iTunes music tab and check whether “Enter Music Library” option.

You may need to authorize your computer for the Apple ID(s) used to purchase your music (and apps) in iTunes>Store>Authorize this computer. Also, if you are trying to manually manage your music with drag and drop make sure that you have checked “manually manage music…” on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings.

What causes this error? The most probable cause is that the iPod / iPad lacks codecs support in which movie file was encoded. Another possibility is that the resolution of the video is too high for your device to handle. Whatever the reason, the solution is to convert the video files to the appropriate format.

Follow these steps to manually manage music and videos on your iPhone:

1. Connect the iPhone to your first computer.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Select the iPhone using the Device menu in the top-left.
4. Click the Summary option and select Manually Manage Music and Videos.
5. Click Apply.

Touch and hold the song, album, playlist, or video, and then tap Add to Library. Go to your Library and tap the song, album, playlist or video you just added. Tap the Download icon (cloud with a down arrow.) Your song, album, playlist, or video has been downloaded and you can enjoy it on your iPhone even when offline.

To add music to iPhone without syncing:

1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and wait for iTunes to launch automatically.
2. Unlock the iPhone and trust the computer.
3. In iTunes, click the device icon and choose “Summary.”
4. Disable automatic sync and check “Manually manage music and videos”.

Cloud services like Google Play Music, Amazon Cloud Player, and Dropbox can sync your music library across your devices. By uploading music from your computer to the cloud and then install the service on your iPhone, you can enjoy and play the music from your computer on your iOS device without iTunes.

Using Audio Files

1. Decide what files you’re adding to iTunes.
2. Add your music files, if you’re using files instead of music from a CD.
3. Choose the file or folder you’re importing and click “Open.”
4. Plug your iPhone into your computer.
5. Copy songs over to your iPhone.
6. Disconnect your iPhone to listen to music on your device.

Add music to iPhone and listen offline

1. Touch and hold a song, album, playlist, or video, then tap Add to Library.
2. When viewing the contents of an album or playlist, tap near the top of the screen to add the album or playlist, or tap , then tap Add to Library to add individual songs.

Adding the file(s) to your iTunes library

1. Launch iTunes.
2. Go to the Music section (in the upper left) and then select Library (up top). IDG. Navigate to the Music section of your iTunes library.
3. Drag and drop the MP3 or AAC files you want to sync from Finder (or Explorer in Windows) into your music library.

Method 2. Add music to iPhone via Apple Music

1. Make sure you are an Apple Music subscriber.
2. Open the Music app on your iPhone.
3. Search and find the song you want to add to your iPhone.
4. Click the “Add” button to add the song to your music library.

Get media into iTunes

1. In the iTunes app on your PC, choose File > Add File to Library or Add Folder to Library.
2. Locate a file or folder, then click Open. If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.

An iPhone audio file saves in folders related to the file type and the app you received or sent the message. For example, pictures would save in a photo app, and a voice mail would keep in a voice memo app.

Once an audio message expires, it’s gone forever — there’s no way to recover it. Apple starts the two-minute expiration after you’ve listened to any audio messages received for the first time, but it automatically starts the timer for audio messages you send.
