To capture a screenshot, press and hold the Power and Home buttons at the same time.

Taking a Full-Screen Screenshot on Any Windows Computer. Go to the screen that you want to screenshot. Before you can take a screenshot, make sure that the screen which you want to screenshot is up with no distractions (e.g., open windows or programs). Press the ⎙ Print Screen key.

Use Command+Shift+3 to capture the entire screen. If you only want part of the screen captured, Command+Shift+4 will turn the cursor into a crosshair. Locate the Print Screen key on your keyboard. It’s usually in the upper-right-hand corner, above the “SysReq” button and often abbreviated to “PrtSc.” Press the main Win key and PrtSc at the same time. This will take a screenshot of the entire current screen.

If your device does not have the PrtScn button, you may use Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to take a screenshot, which can then be printed.

Once you failed to take a screen shoot by pressing PrtScn key, you can try to press Fn + PrtScn, Alt + PrtScn or Alt + Fn + PrtScn keys together to try again. In addition, you also can use snipping tool at Accessories from the Start menu to take screen shoot.

Enable Print Screen Key to Launch Screen Snipping in Windows 10

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Go to Ease of access -> Keyboard.
3. On the right, scroll down to the Print Screen key section.
4. Turn on the option Use the Print Screen key to launch screen snipping.

click on the right arrow next to ‘snip & sketch’, then click on the down arrow on the right side and select ‘app settings’. the settings window should open. scroll down and click ‘reset’. if that doesn’t do the trick, i would try running sfc /scannow just in case.
