How to Reset the Keyless Door Lock

Seller did not have keyless entry pad code. Somebody told me to look for the code on the trunk hinge. Not there–previous owner must have removed it….

1. Enter the five 5-digit code.
2. Press and hold 7/8 control.
3. Press and release 3/4 control while holding 7/8 control.
4. Release 7/8 control.

How to Find the Factory Keyless Entry Code

1. Check the owner’s manual. Inside the first page, last page or in the wallet card of the manual will be the number.
2. Open the truck.
3. Call the authorized dealership.
4. For many SUVs, the code is located on the computer inside the vehicle.

1. Remove the lock carefully from your door as directed from the user guide.
2. Turn the keypad faceplate, so it faces downward.
3. Use your tweezers and insert them into each red tumbler.
4. Then gently and carefully pull out the metal chips and put them on a table.

How to program your keyless entry keypad

1. Enter the factory-set code.
2. Within five seconds, press the 1 • 2 button on the keypad.
3. Enter the personal, five-digit code you’d like to use.

At some point, you might want to change the original, five-digit security code that came with your vehicle. Enter the factory-set code. Within five seconds, press the 1-2 button on the keypad. Enter the personal, five-digit code you’d like to use.

Insert the key in the ignition and turn it to on position for about 5 seconds (don’t start the car). After 4-5 seconds, turn off and remove the key. Now insert the second key into the ignition and turn it to on position. After few seconds the factory key code will be displayed on the instrument cluster display screen.

The factory-set code can not be erased.

1. Enter the factory-set code (keypad will illuminate when first digit is pressed).
2. Press the 1/2 control within five seconds of step one.
3. Enter your personal five-digit code. Enter each digit within five seconds of the previous one.
