If you cannot find the VIN number, the only real way to check your vehicle’s factory warranty is to call or visit your local dealership. They will need the VIN number to look up the information but can tell you for sure what is and is not covered if anything at all.

The DEF system is only covered by the 24k mile federal warranty or the 3/36 Chrysler warranty, whichever is longer.

Lifting your truck past 2” (or at all for some brands, like Toyota) will void the warranty on parts that are affected or damaged by the lift kit. If you want to lift your brand-new 2020 RAM 1500 or 2020 Jeep Gladiator, though, we don’t recommend going past the manufacturer-recommended 2” mark.

Yes a 2″ lift is worth it, think of it this way… On a tourer it enables you to get to more places or the same places with less risk of sill and under carriage damage, it also increases your take off and departure angles which is a plus.

It actually does. Lifting the truck higher than its factory standard and adding on bigger tires will lower the fuel economy of your truck. All-terrain tires or larger sized tires are going to lower your fuel economy a bit. The lift kit will impact your fuel economy depending on the size and weight of the kit installed.

A suspension lift is a better choice than a body lift in situations where off-road performance is important. First and foremost, a suspension lift not only provides room for larger tires, but it also increases the ground clearance under the frame.

For example, larger tires decrease your fuel economy because they are heavier, while smaller tires increase fuel efficiency. Bigger tires also have a higher rolling resistance than smaller tires which means they require more resistance and effort to get them rolling.

While a 2 or 3 inch lift won’t have a super big effect on a truck’s fuel economy, a 4 inch or greater lift will. The bigger the lift, the more that has to be done to the truck.
