Q. How do I get Aurons sphere?
Obtaining the optional Spheres is a requirement for obtaining each of Auron’s Bushido Overdrives. Check out Auron’s Overdrive section for more information. The first Sphere that you obtain is in Macalania Woods and it is obtained after you defeat Spherimorph. Click on the links to view that section of the walkthrough.
Q. Should I backtrack for jecht spheres?
This page is completely optional, as none of the Jecht Spheres are missable. Doing this now saves you the headache of having to deal with one of the Dark Aeons, as one of the Jecht Spheres is in Besaid and Dark Valefor will appear there not too long from now.

Chapter 2 – Besaid Temple
- Take the stairs down and approach the Glyph Sphere in the next room and retrieve it.
- Make your way towards the locked door and insert the Glyph Sphere to open the door.
- After opening the door, retrieve the Glyph Sphere again.
Q. Where is Macalania Woods FFX?
Macalania Woods – South The team will reach the Macalania Woods after traveling through the Thunder Plains. Have Tidus walk towards Auron to continue with a few more cutscenes.
Q. How do you unlock dark aeons in FFX?
The Dark Aeons are only available in the PAL and International releases of FFX, and appear after your first visit to Zanarkand Ruins.
Q. How did jecht turn into sin?
Jecht, originally a citizen of dream Zanarkand who had accidentally ended up in Spira, became Braska’s Final Aeon. Before this, he tasked Auron with finding a way to the dream Zanarkand and taking care of his son, Tidus. The Final Summoning killed Braska and Jecht became the new Sin.

After speaking to Rikku inside the travel agency, Rin enters the foyer. If Tidus speaks with him, Rin will ask “Would that be Sir Auron by any chance?”. Replying “Nope, wrong guy” will increase Auron’s affection value by eight.
