Tap on any room name in the list to view it’s information page. If you want to un-follow a room tap on the ‘un-follow’ button on the left.

When the admin console opens you will see a section labeled ‘restrictions’ near the middle of the window. ‘Use the mic’ is selected by default and cannot be de-selected. Every restriction prevents a person from speaking regardless of other options.

Hover your mouse over the right side of the ‘my room’ header and then click on the ‘edit’ icon when it appears. You will be taken to your group setup page. Click on the ‘edit’ button near the top right of the rooms setting page, then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘deactivate room’ switch.

At times you may see a user in a chat room who has an icon to the left of their nickname that represents a ‘red dot’. This indicates that an ‘admin’ has restricted this user from speaking to the chat room on the microphone.

Click on the ‘admins’ tab in the header of the admin console window. To add a room admin, enter their user name into the ‘type nickname here’ box, and then click the ‘make admin’ button. The user’s name will be added to the admin list below and they will be sent a notification.

You can edit and change your room any time you like. You can change the name, rating, description, picture, admins, anything! Log in at the top right of www.paltalk.com using the nickname that you own the room under. Now click on the ‘edit room’ link in the ‘my room’ section of the page.

You can start a private room by right clicking on any user name on your pal list. You can also spawn a private room from any IM window by clicking on the menu icon. Then select ‘create a private chat room’ from the menu that appears.
