Set the Idle TV standby to Off:

The standby light on a Sony television indicates when the television is turned on and operating, or turned off and in “standby” mode. When you see your Sony TV’s standby light flashing, there are two reset options that can be performed to resolve whatever issue it’s indicating – a power reset and a factory reset.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Power / Eco.
4. Select Idle TV standby.
5. Set to Off.

You can unplug the TV power cord and plug it back in, use the TV remote control, or use the TV menu to perform a power reset….Perform a power reset using the TV menu

If a Red LED is blinking and the TV is not working properly it means that the TV has detected an issue or problem. Most Red LED blink conditions require service. My TV is stuck on ‘standby’?

1. Try to power on using the button on the TV.
2. Replace the batteries in your remote control.

Simultaneously press and hold down the Power and volume Down (-) buttons on the TV (not on the remote), and then (while holding the buttons down) plug the AC power cord back in. Continue to hold the buttons down until Erasing screen appears. The TV will reboot (turn on and off).

Note. Performing a factory reset will delete all of the TV’s data and settings (such as Wi-Fi and wired network setting information, Google account and other login information, Google Play and other installed apps).
