Most Job Corps students live on our campuses. Your child will likely be assigned to live and train at the center closest to home. Some centers, however, have a non-residential option that allows students to live at home during training.

Job Corps staff members will assess each student’s ability to have a weekend pass away from the center. If a student has disciplinary problems or has failed an important assignment, his weekend privileges may be taken away. Strong performers may be granted permission to leave for the entire weekend.

Job Corps has a strict Student Conduct Policy. Violence and drug use are strictly prohibited to ensure all students can train and learn in a safe environment.

When upon entering Job Corps, they gave me a drug test, which they do to all the students. And if you fail you have to take another drug test in 15 days. Well, upon taking my drug test, I found out that I’ve scored record levels of drugs in a man’s system.

No, you can not smoke cigarettes at all. It is a distraction of your training and its a rule that you dont smoke on the jobsite.
