1. Point the remote control away from your TV .
2. Press and hold the TV button and the Select button at the same time until the red LED on the remote blinks twice.
3. Using the remote control keypad, enter your television’s 3 or 4 digit setup code listed above.
4. The red LED on the remote should blink twice.

Program a Manual Code:

1. First turn on the device that you want to program such as your TV or DVD player.
2. Point your remote control at the device.
3. Press the button on the remote that corresponds to the device.
4. Press the “Code Search” button for about 3 seconds until the light stays on.

How to Find a Code for My Remote Control

1. Look through the User’s Manual for your remote control to find the code section.
2. Go to an website listing code, such as the Remote Code List (See References).
3. Call the manufacture of your remote and ask whether it can tell you the codes you need.

Find the code Go to Settings . Scroll to Link with TV code. A blue TV code will show on your TV.

Turn on your TV or another device you wish to control. Press and hold the corresponding DEVICE and POWER buttons on the remote at the same time. Wait until the power button comes on and then release both buttons. Pointing the remote at the TV or another device, press the Power button on the remote and wait 2 seconds.

1. Press and hold down the SETUP button until the remote’s red light turns on.
2. Press and release the chosen device button (e.g., TV, CBL, DVD, AUD).
3. Enter the first 4-digit code for your device. The red light will turn off.
4. Point the remote at the device and test the buttons.

How to Connect a Remote to a TV

1. Hold down the program button on the remote control for 3 seconds.
2. Press the “TV” button on the remote control to let the remote know it will be syncing with a TV.
3. Find the proper codes for the TV you are programing.

To Lookup a code, enter the manufacturer name of the device you want to control, select the device, and then select a code set. The code sets are not linked to specific models. Select a code set and then test a button to see if it is the correct code set for your device.

The IR in “IR blaster” stands for infrared. Some Android models come with a built-in IR blaster, and with the right app, you can use your phone or tablet control your TV and more.

Yes it is possible to use your android phone as a TV remote without an Ir blaster, but you need to have a smart TV which can connect to WiFi or Bluetooth (I’ve less idea about smart TVs, guessing they provide Bluetooth connectivity too), or else it won’t be possible to make it into a remote.

Start the Initial Setup process of the Android TV. When the message Control your TV and cable/satellite box with one remote or Control your TV and set-top box with one remote appears on the TV screen during the Initial Setup, select Yes or Setup. On the Power on and Connect screen, select OK. Connect the IR Blaster.

Due to the fact that iPhones don’t have infrared (IR) blasters, they can’t be used to control older, non-Wi-Fi TV models, although you can buy IR dongles that plug into the Lightning connector and enable this feature. Agree to this and your iPhone should now be transformed into a remote control.

Point the IR blaster towards front camera and tap on any remote button ( like Volume or Channel Change). If you see a purple light on camera, while testing the remote codes, it means your phone’s IR blaster is working. If not, please get in touch with your phone manufacturer as it could be a hardware issue.
