intel mei drivers…the sound card and ethernet and any other drivers your mb needs. copy this folder to the usb stick and then put the usb stick in the new pc. install the intel chipset drivers and mei drivers then reboot. on reboot install the audio driver…it have you reboot again.

Simply download your ethernet/wifi driver to a USB if you don’t have a connection (this is rare since network drivers come with Windows installation, at least a generic driver that will get you on the internet). Once that is done, go to the manufacturers websites and download the latest version of your drivers.

1. Install manually if the automatic installation doesn’t work.
2. Download the driver software, as listed in the first method.
3. Go to device manager, right click your graphic card, and click on update.
4. Search manually through your computer to find the driver’s .
5. Select the file.

If your laptop or desktop has a CD drive, try to use the CD to install drivers. If the CD has been unfortunately lost, you can download the proper network driver and USB driver and then write them to a new CD. This will also work for installing drivers when the PC has no Internet or USB.

To install the printer driver from the CD-ROM, follow the steps below:

1. Insert the CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
2. Click [PC (Windows) software], and then click [Standard Installation] or the specific item you want to install.
3. Select the model.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

Check the drive name in Device Manager, and then reinstall the drive in Device Manager to determine if Windows is able to recognize the drive. In Windows, search for and open Device Manager. Double-click DVD/CD-ROM drives to expand the category. Scan for hardware changes again to attempt to detect the drive.

If the CD-ROM works in Safe Mode but not in normal Windows, a running program is causing the issue, or the drivers are corrupt. Open Device Manager, highlight and remove the CD-ROM by pressing the delete key. After deleting the CD-ROM, reboot the computer. Windows should then detect the CD-ROM and reinstall it.

Open the file to start installation.

1. Insert the disc into your PC, and then follow the instructions on your screen. You might be asked for an admin password.
2. If install doesn’t start automatically, check your AutoPlay settings.
3. You can also choose AutoPlay defaults for removable drives and memory cards.

Sometimes the problem with burning your CD is that the drive isn’t detected. You will need to make sure that your drive is installed properly. Go to “Start>Control Panel>System>Device Manager” to make sure that your CD drive is listed and that the drivers are installed.

Reinstall or Update Driver in Device Manager Boot to the Windows 10 desktop, then launch Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X and clicking Device Manager. Expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click the optical drive listed, then click Uninstall. Windows 10 will detect the drive then reinstall it.

This probably occurs because Windows 10 disables autoplay by default. Hold down the Windows + R keys to open the Run window. Select Browse and navigate to the TurboTax CD on your CD/DVD/RW drive (usually your D drive).

How Do I Tell If My CD Drive Is Working?

How to Run a CD From the Start Menu

1. Open the CD-ROM drive and place a CD into it. Close the drive door.

3. Move the mouse over the “My Computer” command.
4. Double-click on the “D” drive to start the CD drive.

In Windows, search for and open File Explorer. In the Computer window, select the icon for the disc drive that is stuck, right-click the icon, and then click Eject. The disc tray should open.

In the Control Panel, type DVD in the search box. Click on the Play CDs or other media automatically under the AutoPlay category. In the AutoPlay window, scroll down until you see the DVD category. Choose an action for all different types of the DVD media.

Manually summoning AutoPlay

1. Press Win + E to summon a File Explorer window.
2. In Windows 10, choose This PC from the list of locations on the left side of the window.
3. Right-click the drive icon representing the media you inserted.
4. Choose Open AutoPlay from the pop-up menu.

Turn off AutoPlay completely

1. Open AutoPlay by clicking the Start button. , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking AutoPlay.
2. Clear the Use AutoPlay for all media and devices check box, and then click Save.
