Go to myaccount.google.com. At the left, click Data and personalization. Scroll to “Download, delete, or make a plan for your data.” Click Delete a service or your account.

Your Gmail address and Google account are basically one and the same thing. A new address would be a completely new and separate account. Yes you could create the new account and attempt to transfer your data from the old account, but only some things in a Google account are transferrable.

Once deleted, the email address is no longer associated with your current account. In fact, you won’t be able to use the email addresses in the account to create another one until you resolve your login issues.

If you deleted your Google Account, you may be able to get it back. If it’s been awhile since you deleted your account, you may not be able to recover the data in your account. If you recover your account, you’ll be able to sign in as usual to Gmail, Google Play, and other Google services.

This process generally takes around 2 months from the time of deletion. This often includes up to a month-long recovery period in case the data was removed unintentionally. Each Google storage system from which data gets deleted has its own detailed process for safe and complete deletion.

If you delete your Google account, you’ll lose access to data across a number of sites. If you use an Android smartphone, you will also lose access to any contacts linked to this account, as well as any data that is backed up using Android Backup services. Finally, you will also lose the username permanently.

You can temporarily block a user’s access to your organization’s Google services by suspending their account. When you suspend an account, the user’s: Email, documents, calendars, Currents posts, and other data aren’t deleted. Shared documents are still accessible to collaborators.

Your Gmail account may be suspended if you send too many undeliverable messages. Avoid sending spam. This includes not sending junk email, not forwarding chain mail, not sending unsolicited emails, and not emailing people you don’t know. If someone reports you, Google may suspend your account.

How to delete a Gmail account

1. Sign into your Gmail account on Google.com.
2. Click the grid icon in the upper right-hand corner and select “Account.”
3. Under the “Account preferences” section click “Delete your account or services.”
4. Select “Delete products.”
5. Enter your password.

The best way to do that? Delete any unused account. A dormant email account is a security weakness you don’t need. In fact, finding and deleting all the old accounts you don’t use, from social media profiles to photo-sharing sites, is one of the easiest ways to protect your privacy and security.

2. Search for the contact and then click on it.
3. Then click on three dots symbol and choose delete.

To remove an email account:

1. Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts .
2. Under Accounts used by email, calendar, and contacts, select the account you want to remove, and then select Manage.
3. Select Delete account from this device.
4. Select Delete to confirm.

Select the contact that contains the email address that you want to delete from the autocomplete list. To find a contact quickly, go to the Search box and enter the email address you want to remove from the autocomplete list. Select Edit. Delete the outdated or unwanted address.

2. Click the New Email button.
