Changing the Extended Wireless Settings of your range extender

Please have your wi-fi password at hand.

1. 1) Plug the Edimax into a power socket with nothing attached to its Ethernet port.
2. 2) On a phone or PC go to your wi-fi network settings.
3. 3) Open a web browser and type “edimaxext.
4. 4) Press the get started button shown in blue.
5. 5) Select bridge mode, which is the middle option.

If your Wi-Fi extender is not functioning correctly, press and hold the WPS button for 10 seconds to reset the extender to factory defaults. The Power LED will flash when the device begins the process of resetting to factory defaults.

1. Power on the router, and connect the router and the computer via cable or wireless. Open the web browser, type “192.168.
2. Click “ General Setup”. Click “ Wireless ”, click “ Security Settings ”, and you are able to configure wireless security in this page.
3. Click “ Apply “ to reboot the router, and wait about 30 seconds.

Resetting the Wi-Fi Extender If your Wi-Fi extender is not functioning correctly, or if you want to run iQ Setup again, press and hold the WPS button for 10 seconds to reset the extender to factory defaults. The Power LED ( ) will flash when the device begins the process of resetting to factory defaults.

Edimax Router Login Open your web browser of choice and type IP address of your Edimax router in the address bar. You can find the ip address on the back of your router. Now enter the default username and password of your router by accessing the admin panel.

1. Open a browser to log in to the web-based setup page of your range extender.
2. You will then be prompted for a password.
3. Click Basic Settings.
4. Enter your preferred wireless name and password in the Network Name (SSID) and Password fields.

Locate your extender’s Reset or Factory Reset button. The button is usually located on the extender’s side or bottom panel behind a small hole. Use a straightened paper clip or similarly sized object to press and hold the Reset or Factory Reset button until the Power LED blinks. This can take up to 10 seconds.

default username and password of edimax routers For most Edimax routers, the default IP address is 192.168.2.1, default username is admin and password is 1234. By default the router is a DHCP server which will assign IP address starting from 192.168.2.100 to 192.168.2.199 to DHCP clients automatically.
