As Helen Keller traveled the world, she changed the lives of millions of people with visual impairments. She brought them courage and hope. Thanks to her visits, many real improvements became available such as better job training, more braille books, books on tape, and better educational opportunities.

She dedicated her entire life to the betterment of others, helping people see the potential in their own lives, as well as the lives of people around them. She became the first blind-deaf person to effectively communicate with the sighted and hearing world.

Answer-Solitude means loneliness. For Helen, it was ‘two-fold’ because she could not hear. She was also lonely, unaware of feelings of care and sensitivity towards others. She was, thus, overcome by a loneliness of the soul.
