After Tim Speedle (Rory Cochrane) dies in the third season premiere of CSI: Miami, a new CSI played by Jonathan Togo will be signing on to work cases with Horatio Caine and company. Variety (via Yahoo!News) is reporting that Togo’s character, Ryan Wolfe, is a cop studying for his masters degree in genetics.

Ryan asks Delko if someone is gunning for him, and Delko admits he’s not sure and that he’s been staying at the motel because he feared he was under surveillance. Realizing Enrico was the only one who knew where he was, he goes to confront the bartender–only to find him dead in the alley behind the bar he worked in.

– I’m a huge fan of “CSI: Miami.” Why did they kill off Tim “Speed” Speedle (Rory Cochrane)? –Kaitlin via e-mail. It was a mutual decision. A CBS publicist tells me the show’s producers didn’t decide to kill off the character until Cochrane asked to be released to pursue other projects.

The venerable CSI franchise is officially coming back. CBS has given a straight-to-series order to CSI: Vegas, a sequel to the mothership CSI series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, for the 2021-21 season. Also coming back is another fan favorite CSI cast member, Wallace Langham, reprising his role as David Hodges.
