This review of Netflix’s The Rain season 3 contains no spoilers. The series will be released on the platform on Aug 6, 2020. Netflix has decided to end The Rain gracefully after fans demanded an extension and ending to Rasmus’s story. The engaging cast returns and performs wonderfully to end the story.

Since Rasmus only ever wanted to save the world, he decides to sacrifice himself (Sarah joins in, too) by allowing the plant to kill them and absorb all of the virus. The pair have become a part of it and in doing so have cured the world.

The Rain officially ends with Simone telling her brother that “you are forever my sweetheart” — a callback to various moments they shared in the past, both good and bad.

Ultimately, the show ended on a melancholic note after Simone and Rasmus reconciled with each other. Rasmus realised by sacrificing himself, he could save the world from devastation. The show ended with Rasmus and his girlfriend Sarah (Clara Rosager) approaching the flower and allowing it to kill them.

No, The Rain does not contain any zombies. Created by Danish filmmakers Jannik Tai Mosholt, Christian Potalivo, and Esben Toft Jacobsen, The Rain wastes absolutely no time setting the scene or slowly introducing us to its principal characters.

With its tale set in a world where heavy rains carried a deadly virus throughout Scandinavia and wiped out the human population, The Rain is better than most teen dystopian thrillers in many ways, and is definitely worth a binge-watch for anyone recently fatigued by dystopian flicks where random 16-year-olds are …

Every episode was entertaining. One of the best shows I’ve seen in a long time. The show was so good that you forget about the bad voice acting and the words not matching their mouths. Definitely check it out.

The raindrops carry a deadly human-manufactured toxin. The toxin’s effects are swift and fatal. Immediately after coming in contact with the poison rain, a person begins to seize and convulse. In some cases, people vomit and foam at the mouth.

After a flashback of heavy drinking and a recounting of her academic excellence, Fie set to work on a cure. However, the rain keeps mutating into more lethal strains to which there is no cure. Before she could explain further, she had to leave to vomit — she was pregnant.

He is killed by Rasmus after demanding that Rasmus obey his orders and holding Sarah hostage with the threat of fire. After meeting Sarah, his ardor for creating virulent humans becomes greater, and he wonders what allowed Rasmus to infect Sarah without killing her.

Sarah and Rasmus then nearly share an intimate moment, but have to leave when more bounty hunters show up. They nearly escape, but Sarah is shot. As she bleeds out, she kisses Rasmus, and then dies. The kiss infects her, and later, the virus brings her back to life.
